update on his progress with the Allerton Steam Pumper. As you can see from the pictures below, Ken is moving along nicely - we're amazed with his work and cannot wait to initiate production of this model kit - it will truly raise the bar for authenticity and accuracy!
Ken's update: I finished all four hose brackets to tall ones for the front and two short ones for the rear. Then I started the fabrication of the rest of the top band for the boiler; which I had to fabricate out of several strips of brass laminated together. A chuck of brass this size would have been extremely expense so I did a work around. The next and final part for the top of the boiler will be the curved transition piece from the boiler band to the chimney parts which are already completed.
