Another NEW kit for Model Trailways - Phillips 66 Wagon!

We have secured another project with Ken Goldman, Master Modeler and Model Expo Designer of many model kits such as Guns of History Rucker Ambulance & Coffee Wagon! Ken has initiated development of the Phillips 66 Oil Tank Wagon for Model Trailways and we're hoping for an early Fall 2013 release!

For the first time, Ken will be incorporating Resin as a part of our model kits - this allows for finer / more exact detail - especially in smaller parts. We're excited about this new technology - and will be looking to incorporate it into future builds!

A little history on this wagon: Bill and Don's 66 wagon uses the Studebaker chassis, harks to the old Route 66. The company that makes Phillips 66 gasoline began in 1917 as Phillips Petroleum Company. In 1927, the company tested it's gasoline on U.S. Highway 66 in Oklahoma, and the test car got up to a cruising speed of 66 mph. cementing the idea of "66". The company decided to name the new fuel Phillips 66, and the first Phillips 66 service station opened November 19, 1927, in Wichita, Kansas.
