Allerton Steam Pumper for Model Trailways!
Ken's Comments: Here are some “in progress” brake system images. Just quite a few small parts and some tricky soldering; especially the connecting yoke. The linkage rod is 1/16” for reference.
The tapered rod will have U joints on the front end that will connect to the short levers on either side of the pump box. Then it will be hand filed to blend from a round to the flat center U bar.
The yoke will connect to the lever arms that will have the brake shoes for the rear wheel. All will attach with 00-80 bolts like the center connection. The center link arm is threaded with 00-80 threads with locking nuts that enable brake adjustment.
Now back to working on the front U joints that will attach to the short levers and set the length of the tapered arms.
